As a GIS Developer / Geoinformatics Specialist (m/f/d), you will become part of an innovative company that seeks to better understand and protect our planet using cutting-edge technology and creative approaches. Responsibilities Your Tasks: Further development and maintenance of our software LandManager*, built on QGIS and GeoServer, for the sustainable management of drinking water protection areas and other applications Data analysis and development of processing chains for GIS and remote sensing data using Python and R Development of machine learning models for the analysis of remote sensing data (drones and satellites) Application and integration of AI tools into the development workflow Customer consultation and second-level support for our applications Qualifications In addition to your programming skills, you should have strong German and English language skills. French language skills are an advantage for our international projects. You are eager to develop independent solutions and actively contribute within the team. Your analytical skills are reliable—even for complex questions—and your work is thorough and forward-looking. You understand that good development work happens not only behind the screen, but also through direct interaction with customers and end users. You hold a completed degree (or equivalent qualification) in geoinformatics or a related field, and have some professional experience. You should have experience in the following areas: Development of QGIS plugins using Python Development of data processing applications using Python and R Basic knowledge of web development with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript Basic experience with GeoServer and the processing and delivery of geospatial data Analysis of satellite and remote sensing data using machine learning methods Databases: PostgreSQL/PostGIS and MS SQL Server Operating systems: Windows and Linux Agile development methodologies and project management tools (e.g., Jira) Benefits Diverse work in a small, dynamic team located in central Munich Strong career prospects with opportunities for qualification and further training Flexible working hours and independent work We look forward to receiving your application!
