GIS Development Engineer (J46161)

Job Responsibilities Conduct requirement analysis, system design, implementation, and maintenance of GIS products and projects; Develop Web-GIS functional modules by integrating web technologies with common GIS frameworks; participate in geospatial data processing and integration, contribute to technical solution discussions and design for Web-GIS, propose reasonable technology selection and architecture recommendations, and collaborate with project managers, designers, and backend developers to ensure accurate requirement delivery; Independently design modules and write related technical documentation; adhere to company coding standards and development processes to produce high-quality, reusable code; participate in code reviews to identify and resolve potential issues promptly; Design GIS data models and manage/maintain spatial datasets; Conduct research and technical breakthroughs on key GIS technologies; Perform spatial data processing and conversion; Promote deep integration of BIM and GIS—specifically, BIM component-level integration with GIS spatial analysis to enhance simulation accuracy; collaborate with frontend and modeling teams to support 3D development and simulation for the construction of a "digital foundation"; Track emerging BIM+GIS trends, optimize model loading and analysis performance, establish modeling standards, data delivery specifications, and application guidelines, and drive technology reuse. Qualifications Education: Full-time master’s degree or higher; Age: 35 years old or younger (exceptions may be made for exceptionally qualified candidates); Major: Geomatics, Surveying Engineering, Remote Sensing Science & Technology, Computer Science, or related fields; Experience: - Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in Web-GIS design and development; - Engineer-level or higher professional title; - Proficiency in open-source GIS frontend frameworks (e.g., OpenLayers); - Familiarity with open-source GIS backend frameworks (e.g., GeoServer, GeoTools); - Solid JavaScript (web) development experience with understanding of modular frontend development; - Some Java development experience; - In-depth knowledge of WebGIS principles (e.g., OpenGL, WebGL); - Prior experience with Cesium 3D development is highly preferred; - Holders of the National Information Technology Engineer Level 2 Certificate or above will be given priority.
