About the Role

Company: MindMatch GIS Draftsperson & Designer – Railway Infrastructure (Palma de Mallorca) Decode Ingeniería is seeking a highly experienced GIS Draftsperson & Designer to join full-time on a multi-year contract supporting the management of a railway network in Mallorca. Key Responsibilities Draft project plans, technical reports, and construction drawings for civil works and railway infrastructure. Maintain the client’s georeferenced asset inventory in QGIS, backed by a PostgreSQL/PostGIS database, covering tracks, stations, level crossings, fencing, overhead catenary systems, and signaling. Produce as-built drawings (in Shapefile format) for each project and integrate them into the client’s GIS. Process cartography and orthophotos derived from drone surveys. Exploit data from the group’s proprietary railway imaging system, which biannually generates a georeferenced inventory and street-view-style railway visualization, and feed this into the client’s GIS layers. Requirements Minimum 15 years of professional experience in drafting and GIS. Advanced proficiency in QGIS and spatial databases (PostgreSQL/PostGIS). Strong command of AutoCAD or equivalent, and experience working with standard geospatial formats (SHP, DXF, GeoPackage, KML). Proven experience in civil engineering or linear infrastructure projects. Full-time availability and residence in Mallorca—or willingness to relocate. Preferred Qualifications Experience in railway infrastructure projects. Hands-on experience with LiDAR data and point clouds. Knowledge of Python for automating tasks in QGIS. Catalan language skills. What We Offer Permanent full-time contract based in Palma.
