Decode Ingeniería is seeking a highly experienced GIS Draftsperson to join full-time on a multi-year contract supporting the management of a railway network in Mallorca. What You’ll Do Draft project plans, technical reports (memorias valoradas), and construction drawings for civil works and railway installations. Maintain the client’s georeferenced asset inventory in QGIS, based on a PostgreSQL/PostGIS database, covering tracks, stations, level crossings, fencing, overhead catenary systems, and signaling. Produce as-built drawings (in Shapefile format) for each project and integrate them into the client’s GIS. Process cartography and orthophotos from drone surveys. Exploit data from the group’s proprietary railway image-capture system, which biannually generates a georeferenced inventory and railway street view, and transfer this data into the client’s GIS layers. What We Require At least 15 years of professional experience in drafting and GIS. Advanced proficiency in QGIS and spatial databases (PostgreSQL/PostGIS). Expertise in AutoCAD or equivalent, and fluency with standard geospatial data formats (SHP, DXF, GeoPackage, KML). Proven experience in civil engineering projects or linear infrastructure. Full-time availability and residence in Mallorca—or willingness to relocate. Preferred Qualifications Experience in railway infrastructure projects. Hands-on experience with LiDAR data and point clouds. Knowledge of Python for QGIS automation. Catalan language skills. What We Offer Permanent full-time contract in Palma. Assignment to a 4-year contract with a defined work program.
