About the Role
Tasks and Responsibilities
For a large-scale GIS transformation program, we are looking for an experienced functional analyst/business analyst to support the transition to a forward-looking GIS platform based on Esri ArcGIS Pro. This program replaces existing GIS environments and contributes to the further evolution toward a GIS-driven network operator.
In this role, you act as the bridge between business and IT, contributing to the successful delivery of a key GIS transformation initiative:
Conduct business, process, and data analyses, aligning them with relevant stakeholders.
Facilitate workshops and meetings with end users and domain experts.
Support and coordinate testing activities and analyze test results.
Communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders across the organization.
Ensure process coherence across teams and departments.
Support decision-making with analytical insights and well-founded recommendations.
Identify improvement opportunities and actively contribute to optimizing business processes.
Critically analyze dependencies between teams, processes, and deliverables.
Profile
Minimum 5 years of experience as a business analyst, preferably in a similar environment.
Demonstrable experience with GIS projects, particularly within ESRI environments.
In-depth knowledge of the ESRI Utility Network and hands-on experience with ArcGIS Pro.
Experience in business process analysis, data modeling, and the development and optimization of business processes (BPM).
Experience in complex change and transformation projects is essential.
Knowledge of the utilities sector is required; demonstrable experience with a Belgian distribution network operator is a strong plus.
Experience facilitating workshops and managing stakeholders.
Proficiency with Jira and Confluence.
Strong analytical, conceptual, organizational, and communication skills.
Independent, proactive, results-oriented, and adaptable.
