GIS EXPERT – GREEN INFRASTRUCTURE MANAGEMENT As the specialist in Green Infrastructure Management and GIS, you deliver professional services to clients utilizing our application "Geo-IT GIS™ Beheer Groen & Publieke Ruimte" as well as our broader suite of GIS products (Geo-IT GIS™, PostGIS, QGIS, MapGuide, etc.). You advise clients on the management of green infrastructure and public domain, leveraging the Geo-IT GIS™ software. You design and implement GIS projects for the inventory and maintenance of public green spaces and public domains, guiding clients through project rollout. You also provide on-site or in-office training. When issues or challenges arise, you support clients—remotely or on-site—to resolve them efficiently. Additionally, you identify and propose enhancements and new functionalities to improve the software. Required Education The following degrees—or equivalent competencies gained through experience—provide a solid foundation for this role: Professional Bachelor specializations or electives: Green Infrastructure Management Landscape Architecture BaNaBa (Bachelor in Nature and Landscape Management) Environmental Management Core competencies in GIS and Green Infrastructure Management are central to this position. Required Experience & Competencies Proficiency in GIS software is mandatory; prior knowledge of databases is a plus. Demonstrated knowledge—through education or experience—in managing public green spaces or road infrastructure is required. A strong interest in IT in general is essential. You are a positive, collaborative team player with excellent communication skills. You are curious, client- and results-oriented, and proactive in taking initiative.
