GIS & Remote Sensing Analyst

Design District is hiring a GIS & Remote Sensing Analyst to support agriculture-focused geospatial analysis, crop monitoring, precision agriculture, and Earth Observation initiatives. Location: Karachi Employment type: Full-time | Onsite Experience: 2–5 years What you’ll do • Analyze satellite, GIS, UAV, soil, weather and field datasets • Develop GIS maps and perform spatial, raster and time-series analysis • Work on crop mapping, classification, field boundaries and crop-health monitoring • Calculate NDVI, EVI, NDWI and NDMI • Work with Sentinel-1, Sentinel-2 and Landsat imagery • Develop geospatial workflows using Python and Google Earth Engine • Support yield estimation, crop stress, drought, irrigation and precision-agriculture applications • Apply AI/ML for classification, prediction and anomaly detection • Prepare maps, reports, dashboards and actionable agricultural insights Requirements • Bachelor’s/Master’s in GIS, Remote Sensing, Geoinformatics, Agriculture, Agronomy or related field • 2–5 years’ relevant experience • ArcGIS Pro and/or QGIS • Remote sensing / satellite imagery • Python and/or Google Earth Engine • Crop monitoring, phenology and precision agriculture • Sentinel, Landsat, SAR and time-series experience preferred • AI/ML, UAV, PostGIS/SQL or cloud GIS advantageous How to apply Send an updated CV to [email protected], mentioning the position in the subject line, with relevant portfolio/work samples.
