Position
In line with our goal to expand the Open Systems team within the Energy & Utilities practice (our center of excellence focused on clients in Energy, Utilities & Transportation), we are looking for a GIS Developer (Middle-level, minimum 3–5 years of experience), specialized in ESRI and VertiGIS technologies, to work nationwide in a hybrid and flexible setup.
The selected candidate will join a highly technological environment in the utilities sector, focusing on evolving the Utility Network model and integrating it into the enterprise ecosystem (ERP and Middleware).
Responsibilities
Design and develop GIS solutions based on ESRI Utility Network (UN), ensuring correct network modeling and topology management.
Customize and extend the VertiGIS Studio platform (Workflow, Web, Mobile) to optimize operational workflows.
Develop complex API-based integrations between the GIS platform and external systems (e.g., SAP BTP, SCADA/remote monitoring systems, internal databases).
Maintain and develop Front-End components (ArcGIS Maps SDK for JavaScript) and Back-End automation scripts (Python/ArcPy).
Requirements
ESRI & VertiGIS Ecosystem:
- In-depth knowledge of ArcGIS Pro and the Utility Network framework (Asset Packages, Connectivity Rules, Subnetwork management).
- Solid experience with VertiGIS Studio (formerly Geocortex), especially in building complex Workflows.
- Experience managing and configuring ArcGIS Enterprise (Portal, Server, Data Store).
Enterprise Integration & APIs:
- Proven experience developing integrations via APIs (REST/SOAP).
- Familiarity with data exchange dynamics with SAP BTP.
- Experience working with middleware architectures such as MuleSoft and TIBCO for data dispatching and transformation.
Languages & Databases:
- Python: Advanced scripting with ArcPy and ArcGIS API for Python.
- JavaScript/TypeScript: Development of web mapping applications using ArcGIS Maps SDK for JavaScript.
- Java: Development of server-side components and custom integrations.
- Databases: Strong SQL skills, especially with SQL Server (Enterprise Geodatabase/SDE) and/or PostgreSQL + PostGIS.
Nice-to-Have
Knowledge of open-source components: GeoServer, MapStore, GDAL/GeoTools.
Experience with spatial ETL tools such as FME (Safe Software).
Official ESRI or VertiGIS certifications.
Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.

What We Offer
Employment under the CCNL Commercio collective labor agreement, at Level I.
Gross annual salary starting from €42,000, including potential variable compensation.
