GIS Specialist

About the role We are looking for an experienced GIS Specialist with insurance domain knowledge to manage, analyze, and visualize geographic data for insurance-related applications. The candidate will work with GIS technologies and spatial analytics to support risk assessment, property underwriting, catastrophe modeling, claims management, and location-based decision-making. Key responsibilities Manage, analyze, and visualize geographic data for insurance-related applications Work with GIS technologies and spatial analytics to support risk assessment Support property underwriting and catastrophe modeling Support claims management and location-based decision-making About you Strong experience with GIS tools Knowledge of spatial analysis, geocoding, mapping, and geospatial data management Experience working with spatial databases such as PostGIS, Oracle Spatial, or SQL Server Proficiency in SQL and experience handling geographic datasets Understanding of coordinate systems, projections, raster and vector data Experience with geospatial data integration, validation, and quality control Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
