About the Position
As part of its expansion in developing charging infrastructure for electric heavy-duty vehicles, AUTORECHARGE is hiring a GIS Specialist – Land Acquisition & Site Prospecting.
Reporting directly to management, you will work at the pre-project stage to identify optimal zones and parcels for new charging station installations. Your role integrates geographic analysis, mapping, land research, and direct outreach to landowners.
Key Responsibilities
Geographic Analysis & Mapping
Conduct territorial analyses to identify strategic locations for site deployment;
Collect, integrate, and analyze geographic, cadastral, and territorial data;
Identify parcels matching project-specific criteria;
Produce maps and decision-support materials;
Build and maintain a database of evaluated sites.
Land Research & Qualification
Carry out cadastral and land ownership research;
Identify owners of selected parcels;
Assess land characteristics: size, accessibility, environment, and regulatory constraints;
Qualify land opportunities prior to handover to relevant teams;
Track the status and progress of studied parcels.
Land Prospecting & Outreach
Initiate contact with private landowners, companies, local authorities, and other landholders;
Present project concepts and gauge interest in land sale or lease;
Gather essential information to advance feasibility studies;
Follow up on communications and maintain engagement;
Update prospecting tracking tools.
Profile Sought
Degree in GIS, geography, urban planning, territorial development, land management, or equivalent;
Proficiency in GIS and mapping tools (especially QGIS), including geospatial data manipulation and analysis;
Detail-oriented, autonomous, and organized, with strong research and analytical skills;
Ability to synthesize information from multiple sources to identify opportunities;
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, particularly for phone-based outreach with diverse stakeholders;
Prior knowledge of cadastral systems, land issues, urban planning, or EV charging infrastructure is a plus.
