GIS Technician

Job Description Randstad Italia spa, Verona branch, is recruiting a GIS Technician for Acque Veronesi S.c.a.r.l., the manager of the Integrated Water Service in the Province of Verona. Contract Type: Fixed-term (12 months) Working Hours: Full-time Location: Verona Responsibilities Under the supervision of the functional manager, the candidate will be responsible for: Verifying and importing external database information into the GIS (SIT); Conducting field surveys of network services and installations using topographic and GPS equipment; Preparing GIS-based graphic outputs; Coordinating and verifying field survey activities performed by external companies; Drafting technical specifications for GIS data production to be imported into the SIT; Supporting the preparation of technical documents (capitolati) and specifications for awarding survey contracts and purchasing surveying equipment. Requirements High school diploma in technical fields (e.g., surveying/geomatics) or a technical institute diploma in construction, environment, and territory, or a scientific degree; Good proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel); Experience using GIS software (QGIS, ArcMap). Preferred Qualifications Prior experience in GIS and/or topographic surveys; Basic knowledge of hydraulics related to water supply and sewerage networks; Knowledge of English; Programming skills and familiarity with databases.
