Your Responsibilities:
You are responsible for planning, designing, and implementing complex IT infrastructures based on ArcGIS Enterprise (ESRI), as well as system administration.
You plan and steer further developments of GIS infrastructures and evaluate emerging technologies in the field of open-source GIS systems.
You lead cross-departmental projects and coordinate external GIS-related inquiries.
You advance the technical infrastructure of the Hessian administration and co-design complex IT solutions in close collaboration with internal and external partners.
Your Profile:
You hold a completed degree in geoinformatics, computer science, or a comparable field—or possess equivalent professional expertise.
You have several years of experience working with ArcGIS Enterprise (ESRI), open-source GIS systems (e.g., QGIS), OGC services, Java, FME (Feature Manipulation Engine), and Tomcat.
You have several years of experience in operational leadership as well as IT service and infrastructure management based on ITIL in heterogeneous IT environments.
You have solid knowledge of virtualization and data center technologies, as well as IT security and data protection.
You have extensive experience in overall and multi-project management.
You approach complex and challenging tasks in an analytical, structured, and goal-oriented manner and successfully drive them to completion with commitment.
Your profile is rounded off by strong teamwork skills, holistic thinking, and a results-oriented approach.
