About The Role:
The Hydrographic Programmes Officer will support the delivery of international hydrographic and marine geospatial capacity-building programs. The role involves managing marine spatial data workflows, overseeing bathymetric survey contracts, coordinating with international hydrographic organizations, and maintaining marine geospatial databases.
Key Responsibilities:
• Coordinate and oversee hydrographic survey data collection and marine geospatial data management projects.
• Evaluate, quality-assure, and integrate bathymetric and maritime spatial data into UKHO databases and navigational products.
• Collaborate with international partners and marine government agencies on hydrographic capacity development.
• Support marine spatial planning and geographic information initiatives.
Qualifications:
• Degree in Hydrography, Marine Science, GIS, Surveying, or relevant subject.
• Experience in hydrographic survey management, marine geospatial data processing, or cartography.
• Familiarity with marine GIS systems, S-57/S-100 standards, and spatial data infrastructure.
