Job Description
GIS Development Engineer – Supporting Stable Infrastructure Maintenance for Gas, Electricity, and Water Utilities in Tokyo
Key Responsibilities
Lead GIS system development projects for utility companies (e.g., Tokyo Gas), plant engineering firms, and major construction companies.
Participate from the requirements definition phase, with the expectation of taking on project management responsibilities in the near future.
Specific Duties
Develop and deliver systems for managing information used in maintenance and construction of gas pipelines, electrical systems, telecommunications, and water infrastructure.
Build systems for cross-company applications (e.g., submissions and approvals) using mapping technologies.
Collaborate as a team member across all development stages: requirements gathering, design, coding, and testing.

Databases: SQL Server and other RDBs

Employment Terms

Compensation & Benefits
Salary & Compensation
Monthly Base Salary: ¥230,000–¥300,000 (based on experience and skills)
Estimated Annual Income: ¥4,000,000–¥6,000,000
- Model: 30 years old → ¥4.7M; 40 years old → ¥6.0M (includes bonuses and overtime)
Bonuses: Twice annually (July & December)
Annual Raises: Once per year (April)
Commute Allowance: Full reimbursement
