Project Description:
The client, a distribution network operator, is modernizing its GIS landscape (ArcGIS Enterprise, Utility Network) by introducing a web-based application for switch state management. Network documentation and network operations will jointly manage the normal state of low-voltage systems and lighting in a unified application, featuring automatic coloring of energy circuits and short-circuit validation. Implementation will occur in two phases with fixed milestones, in close collaboration with internal teams and an external software service provider.
From a technical perspective, operational safety is paramount: an incorrect switch state representation can lead to misoperations.
Key Responsibilities:
Elicitation and clarification of requirements with network documentation, network operations, and network management teams via workshops and interviews
Translation of requirements into Epics, Features, and User Stories with clearly defined acceptance criteria
Derivation of test cases and acceptance criteria in coordination with QA/test teams
Backlog grooming and prioritization aligned with agreed-upon milestones
Acting as the primary technical contact for the external service provider, resolving open questions during implementation
Conducting functional acceptance of increments, preparing and performing demos
Managing dependencies related to data models, data migration, and interfaces
Documenting requirements and decisions in Confluence
Supporting the beta phase, rollout, and go-live activities
Mandatory Requirements:
Proven experience in requirement elicitation and clarification with network documentation, network operations, and network management teams
Ability to translate business needs into Epics, Features, and User Stories with clear acceptance criteria
Competency in deriving test cases and acceptance criteria in collaboration with QA teams
Experience managing and prioritizing product backlogs in milestone-driven environments
Strong communication skills as the technical liaison for external development partners
Demonstrated ability to conduct functional acceptance and lead demo sessions
Familiarity with managing dependencies across data modeling, data migration, and interface integration
Proficiency in documenting requirements and decisions using Confluence
Experience supporting beta testing, rollout, and go-live phases
