Title: Senior Fullstack Software Engineer (Python/GIS)

What will you do?
As a Senior Fullstack Software Engineer, you’ll be at the core of our geospatial service delivery. You’ll develop robust backend services in Python and, when needed, contribute to our Angular-based frontend applications. Your responsibilities include building new features, maintaining existing services, and ensuring our data and integration platforms run reliably.
You’ll specifically focus on:
Developing and maintaining geospatial services, backend, and web applications;
Developing and managing partner integrations;
Processing and making available geospatial datasets;
Enhancing satellite and reference data services;
Solving complex integration challenges;
Improving our software architecture and technical processes.
You’ll work independently, take ownership of your projects, and proactively contribute to technical solutions and improvements.
Your profile
You’re an experienced software engineer energized by complex technical challenges and passionate about working with geographic data.
You have:
HBO or WO-level work and analytical skills;
Minimum 3 years of experience as a software engineer or Python developer;
Strong experience with Python, Django, FastAPI, and Django ORM;
Experience with PostgreSQL, REST APIs, and Docker;
Experience with GIS technologies such as GeoJSON and PostGIS;
Excellent command of Dutch (spoken and written) and good command of English;
An independent work ethic and natural ownership over your work.
Fluency in Dutch is a strict requirement. You’ll work with datasets from Dutch sources and regularly communicate with colleagues and partners in Dutch — so strong Dutch language skills are essential.
Experience with Angular and working in an Agile/Scrum environment is a plus.
