Le Mouton à 5 Pattes, a recruitment agency, is seeking on behalf of its international client—specializing in GIS solutions and geospatial engineering—a Senior GIS Consultant / FME Expert (H/F) based in central Paris.
As part of the company’s growth in consulting services in France, you will join a dynamic, human-sized organization within an international environment.
As a true technical and business expert, you will support clients in their data transformation, valorization, and automation initiatives. You will also play a key role in growing the consulting practice in France and in upskilling the team.
Key Responsibilities:
Act as a GIS expert for clients on complex geospatial, data integration, and processing challenges;
Guide clients in identifying solutions aligned with their business and technical objectives;
Deliver high-value consulting, expertise, and implementation services to public and private sector organizations;
Design and implement data integration, transformation, and automation solutions—particularly using FME;
Support sales teams in client meetings, events, and technical presentations;
Contribute to tender responses and technical proposal development;
Drive commercial growth of the GIS consulting activity through your expertise, network, and market knowledge;
Mentor and coach consultants to build competencies in GIS, FME, and consulting best practices;
Deliver internal and client-facing training sessions;
Conduct technology watch and help formalize consulting practices and expertise in France.
Required Profile (The 5 Paws):
Advanced degree (Bac+5) in geomatics, computer science, or a related field, with significant experience in GIS consulting;
Proven expertise in GIS environments, especially FME and/or ArcGIS, with strong experience in data integration, automation, and workflow optimization;
Demonstrated consulting experience—ideally on complex projects for large enterprises—with the ability to understand client challenges and propose innovative, pragmatic solutions;
Recognized for your expertise, you enjoy sharing knowledge, training, coaching, and mentoring others; you are capable of acting as a technical reference and mentor within the team;
Attentive, curious, and proactive, you thrive outside your comfort zone, stay current with technological trends, and contribute to building a growing practice.
Practical Details:
Position: CDI (permanent contract)
Location: Paris (intra-muros), with regular on-site client presence (~2 days/week); remaining time split between office and remote work
Salary: €60,000–€70,000 gross annual fixed salary (based on experience)
