Senior GIS Software Architect (Spatial Data & Microservices)

Leonardo SpA is looking for a Senior GIS Software Architect to join its teams in Rome Laurentina and Florence Campi Bisenzio. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing requirements, designing, and implementing complex GIS systems, with proven experience in ESRI technologies, GeoServer, and microservices-based architectures deployed in Kubernetes environments. Key Requirements: Master’s degree in STEM disciplines (e.g., Computer Science, Geomatics, Engineering) Minimum 5 years of professional experience in CWE/C2 (Complex Weapon Systems / Command & Control) contexts Strong technical expertise in: - ESRI platform (ArcGIS Desktop, ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcGIS API) - GeoServer and spatial data services - MongoDB (spatial data modeling and querying) - Kubernetes and containerized microservices - Azure DevOps (CI/CD pipelines, DevSecOps practices) Experience with spatial data standards (e.g., OGC WMS/WFS/WCS, STAC, GeoJSON) Knowledge of cloud platforms (especially Microsoft Azure) is highly valued Offer: Hybrid work model in Italy Permanent employment contract (indefinite-term)
