About the Role
Job Description
Your Impact at Movares
Do you want to contribute to a wide range of projects throughout the Netherlands using the latest Leica and Carlson equipment?
What You’ll Do at Movares:
You will work on land surveying projects, responsible from preparation through to final delivery.
You will enjoy significant freedom and independence in your role, acting as a kind of ‘own boss’.
You will have the opportunity to work with the latest equipment.
As a surveying engineer, you will map areas, (construction) sites, and parcels—e.g., measuring boundaries for water boards, conducting measurements for civil structures, performing measurements for high-rise buildings (BAG/BGT), reinforcing dikes, and setting out sheet pile walls. We handle many different types of projects; depending on your experience, you will work on one or more of these project types. Your work area is the Netherlands, with most assignments located in the northern half of the country.
Who You Are at Movares:
As a surveying engineer, you work accurately, pay close attention to detail, and manage your own workload effectively. You also possess strong analytical skills.
Your Profile:
MBO work and thinking level;
Minimum three years of experience as a surveying engineer.
What You’ll Get at Movares:
At Movares, you’ll work on impactful projects with real societal value—giving you energy and fulfillment, something that goes beyond monetary compensation.
You’ll contribute to making a difference in the Dutch public realm by continuously growing in your profession and as an individual. That’s why, at every stage of your career, you’ll have the space to actively shape your development, supported by learning on the job, masterclasses, and a broad learning environment in our own Academy.
That’s not all. We also offer competitive primary and secondary employment conditions, listed below:
A salary between €3,200 and €4,500 gross per month for a full-time (40-hour) contract;
A commitment to sustainable collaboration with the prospect of a permanent contract;
An attractive package of secondary employment conditions, including tax-advantaged arrangements;
Sustainable commuting with a generous mobility scheme;
Excellent facilities to work effectively both at home and in the office;
A solid pension plan with attention to your future;
Sensitivity to your personal situation, with tailored support regarding your workspace or guidance when needed.
And there’s more. Working at Movares also means:
Trust and flexibility in how and where you work, aligned with your team and responsibilities;
Meaningful work: you contribute to a more sustainable and cleaner living environment, alongside colleagues who share this commitment;
Emphasis on connection and fun through team activities, both professional and informal.
Your Team at Movares
You’ll join the GeoSolutions department, comprising around 60 employees. It’s an innovative department with a unique combination of expertise in GIS, geodata, and geodesy. GeoSolutions focuses on land surveying, measurement, 3D scanning, and BIM, as well as data processing.
Within the department, the atmosphere is informal and communication lines are short. We’re flexible and aim to respond quickly—not only internally but also directly to our clients. Projects demand hard work, but so does staying up to date with rapid technological developments.
At the same time, there’s always time for relaxation: the staff association organizes several outings per year, colleagues spontaneously plan fun activities, and there’s an office drinks session every Friday afternoon. This department is dynamic and a great place to work.
