About the Role
Your Mission:
In our SIE (Smart Infrastructure Engineering) team, we currently have 20 colleagues across our locations in Ratingen, Radebeul, Ismaning, Bonn, Münster, and Eschborn.
As a Surveying Technician (m/f/d), you will carry out various Mobile Mapping projects. This includes capturing data using state-of-the-art equipment such as the VLX scanner (high-resolution 360° camera) and vehicle-based measurement systems (e.g., mapping vehicles equipped with cameras and additional sensors). These methods ensure the high data quality required for creating our Digital Twins.
You will conduct data capture of diverse building types using the VLX scanner or our measurement vehicle.
You will also regularly use drones to collect aerial data (we provide prior training for this).
As part of your projects, you will perform precision surveys using total stations (e.g., Trimble instruments).
You will process and analyze the collected data using software such as NavVis IVION or Orbit GT (training provided).
You will prepare comprehensive documentation and conduct quality control checks on your results.
You will coordinate closely with your colleagues and external project partners.

What You Bring:
Completed vocational training in surveying or a related technical field.
Experience with modern surveying equipment—especially VLX scanners, vehicle-based systems, drones, and total stations (e.g., Trimble).
Proficiency in data processing and relevant software (e.g., AutoCAD, Trimble Business Center, or GIS systems), along with openness to quickly learn new tools.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, both within the team and with other project stakeholders.
A structured, self-organized, and flexible working style, able to adapt to new situations.
Valid German Class B driver’s license and full willingness to travel—approximately 70% of the role is fieldwork, 30% office or home office.
Excellent written and spoken German, essential for smooth communication with diverse project partners.
