As the GIS specialist, you will be a key resource for all County Administrative Boards, collaborating with official networks, the shared IT department of the County Administrative Boards, and external stakeholders to develop solutions that meet the boards’ capacity needs. The work is highly digital but also involves some travel.
The remaining portion of your work (20%) will be carried out at the Unit for Civil Protection and Emergency Preparedness at Uppsala County Administrative Board, where you will contribute to the unit’s mission in civil protection and emergency preparedness.
Qualifications
We are looking for you who hold a higher education degree in Geographic Information Systems (GIS). You have documented experience with GIS-related tasks. You also have experience leading complex projects involving multiple stakeholders, as well as experience in business development and digitalization. You have experience working with information security and security protection. You are accustomed to flexible, needs-driven working methods and have experience in producing decision support materials.
It is meritorious if you have experience identifying business needs and impacts and linking them to existing or new IT support. Experience working with security-classified information, leading change processes, and motivating others is also meritorious. Furthermore, it is meritorious if you have experience working within an administrative object focused on the development and maintenance of administrative products, or experience working in a complex organization.
As a person, you have a holistic perspective and always act in the best interest of the organization. You are goal- and results-oriented and can adjust your approach when circumstances change. You take initiative and have the ability to plan, organize, and prioritize your work effectively to meet deadlines.
You are attentive and flexible in your collaboration with other actors, communicate clearly, actively listen, and can resolve conflicts constructively. You represent the County Administrative Board in a trustworthy manner and have strong proficiency in Swedish, both spoken and written. We place great importance on your personal qualities.
