Functional GIS Application Manager (Temporary) Are you a driven Functional GIS Application Manager with a strong affinity for Geographic Information Systems (GIS)? For the Asset Registration value stream within the Geo domain at a major network operator, we are looking for a user- and process-oriented application manager. In this role, you’ll ensure the Geo information provision runs flawlessly for approximately 2,700 users. Within an agile DevOps team, you’ll identify business needs and pain points, analyze their impact on business processes, and translate user requirements into concrete, practical solutions. This is a varied role where your analytical skills, GIS expertise, and communication strengths directly contribute to a reliable and future-proof energy grid! Job Description: Functional GIS Application Manager (Temporary) As a Functional GIS Application Manager, you and your team will manage the full lifecycle of solutions within the Geo domain. Management & Enhancement: Manage and continuously improve Geo applications to enhance the quality, stability, and usability of the information provision. Requirements & Impact Analysis: Identify on-the-ground needs and bottlenecks, analyze system usage, and translate these into functional and technical specifications. Incident & Problem Management: Analyze incidents and user inquiries, identify root causes, and propose well-substantiated solution directions. DevOps & Agile Collaboration: Actively participate in agile/scrum processes, collaborate on testing, deploying, and managing releases based on ITIL, DevOps, and CI/CD principles. User Engagement & Training: Maintain active contact with end users, ensure alignment with business processes, and promote correct system usage. Job Requirements: Functional GIS Application Manager (Temporary) MBO or HBO diploma, preferably in IT, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Geographic Information Systems (GIS). Minimum 1 year of experience in a similar role as Functional Manager, Application Manager, or Business Analyst. Solid general ICT knowledge and familiarity with ITIL, Agile/Scrum, DevOps, and CI/CD principles. Strong ability to analyze processes and incidents, and to communicate effectively with both business stakeholders and developers. Professional proficiency in Dutch is preferred but not mandatory. Experience with GIS tools and techniques (Geographic Information Systems) and knowledge of Smallworld is a strong plus, as is experience with agile scaling (SAFe) or working in a utility or network operator environment. The Offer: Functional GIS Application Manager (Temporary) A full-time assignment in Den Bosch (hybrid working is possible). Start date is as soon as possible, with an initial duration of one year, extendable. After one year, there is also the possibility of transitioning directly into a permanent role with the client. For this position, we offer a contract via Independent Recruiters (freelance/zzp is not possible). The salary for this role ranges from €3,500 to €4,500 gross per month based on a 40-hour workweek.
