GIS Application Developer

We are a leading technology firm specializing in cutting-edge solutions in artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML). Job Description: We are building a mapping application for real-estate and oil & gas users: leaseholds, wells, pipelines, facilities, parcels, and property portfolios. You will turn operational and land data into interactive maps and app workflows. The product is built in Python with Reflex, with maps delivered through Mapbox. GIS, coding, and database experience all help; you do not need to be an expert in all three on day one. What you will do: Build and maintain map views in our Reflex application: layers, filters, popups, drawing tools, and saved views. Load, clean, and display spatial data (wells, leases, units, parcels, pipelines, facilities, sites) Connect Mapbox maps to application data so users can search, filter, and inspect assets Work with PostgreSQL / PostGIS (or equivalent) so map layers stay in sync with the database Produce both interactive maps and exportable map products for internal and client use Write small scripts or app features to automate repeat mapping work Check data quality: projections, topology, duplicate features, bad legal descriptions, missing attributes. Qualifications & Skills: GIS background (ArcGIS Pro, QGIS, GeoJSON, shapefiles, coordinate systems) Oil & gas or real-estate data: leases, mineral ownership, wells, units, parcels, easements, sites Reflex, FastAPI, Django, Flask, or another Python web framework Mapbox GL JS / Mapbox Studio / vector tiles Revit, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or other BIM/CAD export into GIS Experience with land descriptions (PLSS, metes and bounds).
