The team comprises professionals with diverse competencies and experience levels, fostering a developmental environment rich in knowledge sharing. Our projects primarily focus on permits for power lines and other energy-related facilities, serving clients such as grid operators and municipalities.
About The Job
As a GIS Engineer, you will play a vital role in our projects, contributing GIS expertise throughout the permitting and design process. You will work both independently—conducting analyses and preparing cartographic materials—and as GIS support for colleagues within the business area.
Your responsibilities will include, among other tasks:
Producing maps for public consultations, Environmental and Social Impact Assessments (ESIA), Environmental Action Plans, and concession applications
Conducting multi-criteria analyses
Performing GIS analyses for pre-feasibility studies, public consultations, ESIA, and design phases
Providing ongoing GIS support to colleagues on our projects
You will primarily work on assignments within the energy sector, where your expertise will be essential in developing and building tomorrow’s energy infrastructure. The position is based in Uppsala or Stockholm.
Who Are You?
We believe you are an open and social person who thrives in collaborative settings and enjoys sharing your knowledge. You see yourself as an integral part of the team and have a natural drive to contribute your own expertise while creating opportunities for others to engage and add value in projects.
To succeed in this role, you need:
A GIS education and at least five years of experience in GIS
Strong proficiency in ArcGIS Pro
Knowledge of QGIS
Good command of Swedish and English
Curiosity about AI and a willingness to learn how to apply AI tools in your work
Meritorious qualifications include:
Experience participating in permitting processes
Experience from infrastructure projects, such as roads, railways, or power lines
What You Get
At Rejlers, you become part of a team where diverse competencies and experiences converge. The group includes junior, mid-level, and senior colleagues, offering excellent opportunities for daily knowledge exchange and learning.
At Rejlers, you’ll work in a consulting environment where your specialist skills make a tangible difference in our projects. In this role, you’ll also have the opportunity to work with varied clients and projects across energy distribution and production, while serving as a key GIS resource for your colleagues.
We believe in collaboration, curiosity, and growing together. Here, you can contribute with what you already know, while continuing to build your competencies alongside colleagues from various technical fields.
As part of our recruitment process, a background check will be conducted on the final candidate. Some roles may also require additional checks, such as a security clearance, before working with certain clients—if applicable to the position you’re applying for, you will receive further information at a later stage.
