GIS & ESRI Functional Analyst (Freelance Option Available) at EngiFlex | GIS Career Hub

About the Role

Key Responsibilities For a major GIS transformation program, we are seeking an experienced functional analyst/business analyst to support the transition to a forward-looking GIS platform based on Esri ArcGIS Pro. This program replaces existing GIS environments and supports the evolution toward a GIS-driven utility network operation. Conduct business, process, and data analyses, aligning them with key stakeholders. Facilitate workshops and coordination sessions with end users and domain experts. Support and coordinate testing activities and analyze test results. Communicate effectively with diverse internal stakeholders. Ensure process coherence across teams and departments. Support decision-making with analytical insights and well-founded recommendations. Identify improvement opportunities and actively contribute to optimizing business processes. Critically analyze interdependencies among teams, processes, and deliverables. Candidate Profile Minimum 5 years of experience as a business analyst, preferably in a similar environment. Demonstrated experience with GIS projects, especially within Esri environments. In-depth knowledge of the Esri Utility Network and hands-on experience with ArcGIS Pro. Experience in business process analysis, data modeling, and the development and optimization of business processes (BPM). Experience in complex change and transformation projects is essential. Knowledge of the utility sector is required; proven experience with a Belgian distribution network operator is strongly preferred. Experience facilitating workshops and managing stakeholders. Proficiency with Jira and Confluence. Strong analytical, conceptual, organizational, and communication skills. Independent, proactive, results-oriented, and adaptable. Offer You will become part of a growing SME with room for initiative and personal development. We ensure you join a challenging yet pleasant work environment with great colleagues. Together, we will define a career path for you, with dedicated attention and budget for additional training or certifications. You can expect a competitive salary, supplemented with fringe benefits—including a company car (or an alternative allowance). (Freelance arrangements are also possible.)
