Job Description
Lansingerland is actively working toward developing a smart municipality, where data and geographic information play a central role in policy, implementation, and service delivery.
As a GIS Specialist, you translate business questions into GEO-informatie products, integrate internal and external data sources, and advise on the potential of GIS. Can you make a direct contribution to this transition? This may be your next role!
Responsibilities
As a GIS Specialist, you will collect, analyze, and visualize data to make geographic information accessible and applicable—for both colleagues and residents—thereby supporting data-driven decision-making.
Collecting, analyzing, and evaluating geographic data using various GIS software tools;
Proactively contributing to the promotion of geo-data usage to foster a data-driven culture;
Developing customized products such as dashboards, apps, or maps, and making them available via online portals;
Managing and optimizing GIS systems, including GIS Viewers, QGIS, ArcGIS, and FME-Flow;
Providing support to GIS users, including troubleshooting technical issues.
What We Are Looking For
Minimum HBO (higher professional education) working and thinking level;
Strong communication skills in Dutch (minimum B2 level);
Experience with GIS applications such as QGIS, ArcGIS Online, and ArcGIS Pro.
Preferred: Experience with FME Desktop/Server, GIS system administration, and/or (geo)database management.
