About the Role
What You Do
As a GIS Consultant, you serve as the link between geospatial data, technical expertise, and organizational strategy. You analyze spatial challenges, advise on GIS implementation, and translate information needs into practical, future-proof solutions.
Your responsibilities include:
Advising clients, colleagues, and project teams on GIS and geospatial information;
Analyzing, managing, and visualizing geographic data;
Conducting spatial analyses and translating results into clear insights;
Developing maps, dashboards, and other GIS products;
Working with diverse data sources and spatial datasets;
Translating user questions into practical GIS solutions;
Advising on data quality, GIS workflows, and information management;
Contributing to the design, optimization, and automation of GIS processes;
Collaborating with professionals in civil engineering, spatial planning, infrastructure, and asset management;
Staying up to date with developments in GIS, geospatial information, and data-driven practices.
Importantly, you go beyond the technical side—you understand the underlying problem behind the data and ensure your GIS expertise delivers real added value.

Are You the One?
You are analytically strong, excellent at communicating, and enjoy applying GIS to solve real-world problems. You work independently but also value collaboration with colleagues and clients.
You have:
Completed an HBO or WO program in fields such as Geospatial Information, Geography, Geodesy, GIS, Geomatics, Spatial Planning, or a related discipline;
At least 3 years of relevant experience in GIS and/or geospatial information;
Experience with GIS software such as ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online, QGIS, or similar systems;
Experience with geographic analysis and data processing;
Strong communication and advisory skills;
An independent and proactive work attitude;
The ability to translate technical information into clear, understandable advice;
Proficiency in Dutch.

You’ll work via Voort for one of our clients in Noord-Brabant. We focus not only on what you can do, but more importantly on where you can best thrive. Together, we’ll find the right client and project where you can apply your knowledge and continue developing.
You may join one of our clients, such as municipalities and other government organizations, engineering and consulting firms, contractors, or technical organizations. Opportunities also exist in the energy and water sectors, area development, mobility, public space, and asset management.
