TenneT Germany is Germany’s largest transmission system operator (TSO), operating critical infrastructure for reliable and affordable electricity supply. As one of the country’s largest investors in onshore and offshore power grids, TenneT Germany manages over 14,700 km of transmission lines—connecting more than one-third of the EU’s offshore wind capacity.
Strategically positioned at the heart of the Northwest European energy hub, TenneT Germany links north and south, offshore and onshore, Germany and Europe. With over 5,000 employees, the company builds, operates, and maintains Germany’s largest transmission grid, with the North Sea—home to one of the world’s largest renewable energy sources—playing a central role.
Our growth is driven by rapidly increasing electricity demand, requiring a flexible and expanding grid architecture.
