Job Description
Your Role and Missions:
You will contribute to the agency’s geospatial intelligence activities by supporting the development of mapping applications, managing geographic data, and implementing GIS solutions for client projects within the Aeroline Engineering agency.
Your internship will take place at our Colomiers site, within a team dedicated to geospatial intelligence, geographic data valorization, and business application development.
You will assist project teams in designing, developing, and maintaining applications that leverage geographic data. You will also support the administration and quality assurance of spatial databases—particularly geodatabases—as well as produce analyses, maps, reports, and deliverables to meet clients’ operational needs.
Internship Contributions:
Participate in the development and maintenance of mapping or business applications integrating geographic data.
Contribute to the design, population, structuring, and updating of geographic databases (e.g., geodatabase, PostGIS, or equivalent).
Support client teams in analyzing user requirements and translating them into simple, robust, and maintainable GIS solutions.
Participate in the geospatial data processing cycle, including satellite image acquisition, quality control, and integration into the geographic information system.
Qualifications
Currently pursuing a Master’s degree or engineering diploma in geomatics, GIS, or a related field.
Solid understanding of core GIS, cartography, spatial analysis, and geographic database concepts (geodatabase, PostGIS, or equivalent).
Prior experience handling and exploiting geographic data using SQL, Python, JavaScript, or mapping APIs.
Demonstrated attention to data quality and processing rigor, analytical thinking, and a proactive mindset for improving existing tools and methods.
Strong teamwork skills, good interpersonal communication, and the ability to understand and address user needs.
Advanced proficiency in English is mandatory.
