Position Objective
The Junior GIS/Geospatial Analyst supports the preparation, organization, and quality control of geospatial data, as well as the development of maps, figures, basic spatial analyses, and digital deliverables for reports, presentations, and web platforms, in accordance with the company’s data and cartographic management standards.
Key Responsibilities
Support the collection, cleaning, organization, and maintenance of geospatial data.
Develop maps, figures, and digital deliverables, including PDFs, web maps, and materials for reports and presentations.
Assist in maintaining geodatabases and documenting metadata.
Perform QA/QC reviews of spatial data to ensure consistency, accuracy, and compliance with standards.
Contribute to project teams through basic geospatial analysis and visualization using ESRI ArcGIS tools.
Learn and apply corporate standards for data management, cartography, and digital deliverable preparation.
What You’ll Bring
Software, Processes, and Tools
ESRI ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online, Experience Builder, ArcGIS Enterprise
Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Basic SQL in ArcGIS or SQL Server
Familiarity with Python/ArcPy for automation
Education and Experience
Professional/Technical degree in Geography, GIS, Environmental Sciences, or a related discipline. Equivalent technical, technological, or associate-level qualifications will be considered if supported by relevant professional GIS experience.
