Position Objective
The Junior GIS/Geospatial Analyst supports the preparation, organization, and quality control of geospatial data, as well as the creation of maps, figures, basic spatial analyses, and digital deliverables for reports, presentations, and web platforms—following the company’s data and cartographic management standards.
Key Responsibilities
Support the collection, cleaning, organization, and maintenance of geospatial data.
Develop maps, figures, and digital deliverables—including PDFs, web maps, and materials for reports and presentations.
Assist in maintaining geodatabases and documenting metadata.
Conduct QA/QC reviews of spatial data to ensure consistency, accuracy, and compliance with standards.
Contribute to project teams through basic geospatial analysis and visualization using ESRI ArcGIS tools.
Learn and apply corporate standards for data management, cartography, and digital deliverable preparation.
What You’ll Bring
Software, Processes, and Tools
Proficiency with ESRI ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online, Experience Builder, and ArcGIS Enterprise.
Competency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Basic SQL knowledge (in ArcGIS or SQL Server); familiarity with Python/ArcPy for automation.
Professional/Technical background in Geography, GIS, Environmental Sciences, or a related field. Equivalent technical, technological, or associate-level education will be considered if supported by relevant professional GIS experience.
