In this context, we are seeking a dedicated Flood Risk Prevention & Infrastructure Resilience Consultant.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Flood Vulnerability Assessments
Conduct and support vulnerability diagnostics of buildings, infrastructure, and industrial or technical sites;
Carry out site visits and contribute to technical analyses to assess exposure and vulnerability;
Help identify and define measures to improve site and operational resilience;
Participate in report drafting and client presentations;
Support senior staff on complex diagnostics involving major infrastructure.
Crisis Management Planning & Procedures
Engage with clients and their technical teams;
Contribute to defining and formalizing operational response plans for flood events;
Assist in drafting and updating crisis management procedures and instructions.
Crisis Exercise Coordination
Support the preparation and execution of crisis simulation exercises;
Contribute to observation, after-action reviews, and improvement planning.
You may also be assigned other tasks as needed. You will receive training on EXAMO’s methodologies and initially work in pairs with experienced colleagues. Your level of autonomy will increase over time based on project complexity and your experience.
PROFILE SOUGHT
Master’s degree (or equivalent), from an engineering school or university program in natural risks, environment, hydraulics, geography, urban planning, civil engineering, or risk management.
Prior exposure to flood risk is highly desirable: understanding of flood and runoff phenomena, ability to interpret hazard maps and flood risk plans (PPRI), topographic data analysis, and familiarity with vulnerability assessments or crisis management frameworks.
Enjoy fieldwork, technical analysis, and report production; comfortable reading technical plans and documents, and able to clearly and structurally communicate findings.
Strong writing skills, analytical mindset, and ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders (operators, technical managers, QHSE directors, infrastructure managers, local authorities).
Proficiency in GIS tools—especially QGIS—is a plus.
Open to recent graduates; prior professional experience or a significant internship in natural risks, water management, infrastructure, or resilience is advantageous.
Valid driver’s license (B) is required due to frequent site visits.
EMPLOYMENT CONDITIONS
Contract type: Permanent (CDI)
Location: Paris 12th arrondissement, with regular site visits across Île-de-France and nationally, occasionally in overseas departments and territories (DROM-COM)
Weekly hours: 37.5h + RTT (additional paid time off)
Partial remote work possible
