Company: Royal Schiphol Group
Title: GEO-ICT Specialist
Nice to know (you)
We are enthusiastic about finding a driven GEO-ICT Specialist with a strong passion for geospatial ICT technology. Do you want to play a crucial role in the unique and challenging environment of an international airport? With over 3,500 proud colleagues, we work toward our mission: 'the world’s most sustainable and high-quality airports.'
Connecting your world
The Digital & Technology department at Schiphol’s mission is to deliver technology that makes every journey enjoyable, predictable, and more capable—on every square meter of our airport. We provide technology that works to help Schiphol return to the top 3 in Europe. The Schiphol Infrastructure department is responsible for implementing the Schiphol Masterplan, investing heavily over the next decade to renew our infrastructure. Major projects such as the C-pier renovation and the new South Terminal will help position Schiphol back in the top tier.
Within Schiphol Infrastructure, the Business Platform Infrastructure & Projects (BPIIP) is responsible for the IT systems needed to achieve set objectives—with safety always as the top priority. This ensures the continuity of assets by keeping systems secure and up-to-date.
Additionally, BPIIP is continuously working on the new way of operating within ASM and Schiphol. We develop new tools for ASM, such as a management dashboard for Operations. The GEO-ICT team operates more broadly: we also provide maps for bird control officers, field inspection maps for our cleaning contractors, and wayfinding maps for passengers navigating the terminal. Very diverse work! How you realize this is up to you. We trust in your enthusiasm, determination, ability to convince others of your vision, and resilience in overcoming obstacles. You will use your talents to:
Contribute to the digitalization goals of Infrastructure.
Improve the quality and backlog of Schiphol Maps (based on our Esri system), which the GEO-Team is working on.
Make the passenger experience more predictable and enable more possibilities on every square meter.
