Do you speak native or near-native Dutch? Are you passionate about technical application management and feel at home in the GEO/GIS domain?
We are looking for someone with a passion for technical application management and extensive experience in the GEO/GIS field. You will operate comfortably within a dynamic ICT landscape where ArcGIS Enterprise and FME Flow form the foundation of the GIS platform. You are independent, analytical, and proactive, yet you also value collaboration.
With your engagement and communication skills, you translate complex technical challenges into stable and understandable solutions. You hold an HBO/WO-level education.
Requirements:
Several years of relevant experience in the GEO/GIS domain
Experience with technical application management on Windows platforms
Proficiency in Dutch at C1 level or higher, both spoken and written
Technical knowledge and hands-on experience with installation, configuration, administration, and optimization of ArcGIS and FME platforms
Experience with APIs, REST services, token management, and scripting (SQL and/or Python)
Experience with open-source GIS solutions such as QGIS and MapServer is a plus
Responsibilities:
As Technical GIS Platform Administrator, you are responsible for the administration, continuity, and further development of the complete GIS platform, where ArcGIS and FME are equally important pillars:
Monitor and manage generic GIS services, including ArcGIS Enterprise and FME Flow
Keep the GIS infrastructure operationally up-to-date
Integrate and onboard new GIS and FME applications
Provide operational support and maintenance
Manage users, groups, and access rights within ArcGIS and FME
Coordinate with vendors and support partners such as Esri and Safe Software
Advise DevOps, project, and maintenance teams on GIS platform usage
Document procedures and actively contribute to knowledge sharing within the team
About the Organization:
Our unit supports clients responsible for vital parts of the Netherlands, including transport, roads, water, rail, gas, water, and energy. You will work long-term with (semi-)government organizations on complex management platforms. These platforms provide generic building blocks used across multiple domains, with Geographic Information Systems (GIS) playing a central role.
Training, certifications, and internal growth opportunities are standard. You will work alongside professional colleagues in dedicated teams, making a visible impact on the Netherlands’ critical infrastructure.
Our clients include government institutions, banks, aerospace companies, infrastructure organizations, and energy and production companies. CGI offers you:
Work in small, self-managing teams of domain experts
Use of the latest technologies
Permanent contract
Part-time options available
