As a specialist, you are responsible for the installation and configuration of Esri and ICT solutions within the defense domain. A typical workday as a Technical GIS Specialist – Defense at Esri Nederland includes various activities. When you’re not in the office at Esri, you’re likely on-site at a defense location.
You spend 60%–80% of your time delivering services related to the products offered by Esri Nederland;
You support clients and colleagues as part of the Managed Services team;
You are responsible for effective knowledge transfer;
You collaborate with colleagues from various departments and external stakeholders, such as IT specialists, clients, and end users;
You maintain and deepen your knowledge of Esri products and related IT domains through relevant training, and you transfer this knowledge to clients and/or colleagues—or apply it to help further develop our services;
You contribute to Esri Nederland publications and provide support during events.
What We Require
For this position:
You must have strong command of the Dutch language, both spoken and written;
Minimum 2 years of experience with Esri products (ArcGIS Desktop, ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Enterprise);
HBO/WO degree in Geo-Information, Computer Science, or a related field;
Prior experience in an IT role involving IT standards and related technologies is considered a plus;
Knowledge of management methodologies such as ITIL and ASL—or equivalent—is desirable;
Willingness to work and travel within the Netherlands on secure (defense) locations.

A gross monthly salary between €4,000 and €5,500, based on a 40-hour workweek and dependent on your experience;
