YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
Operation and Administration of Central GIS Systems
- Administration, configuration, and support of central GIS systems
- Ensuring the functionality of the GIS system environment (servers, databases, web services)
- Installation and updating of GIS software components in coordination with external service providers
- Analysis and resolution of technical issues in GIS operations
- Coordination with system and network administration regarding infrastructure or security requirements
- Setup and maintenance of user rights and access control concepts
Geospatial Data Management and Integration
- Establishment, maintenance, and quality assurance of central geospatial datasets
- Structuring and managing geodatabases
- Integration of internal and external geospatial data sources
- Setup and maintenance of interfaces to specialized applications
- Coordination with departments regarding data provision and usage
- Documentation of data structures and metadata
Consultation, Coordination, and User Support
- Consulting departments on the use of GIS systems
- Supporting the creation of spatial analyses and visualizations
- Coordinating GIS-related requirements across organizational units
- Conducting training sessions and user onboarding
- Handling support requests and assisting with error analysis

ADDITIONAL DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Knowledge in:
- Web server administration
- Data protection and licensing law
Experience with:
- GIS software and geospatial data management
- Relational database systems
