Your Daily Life at SAUR
You will join a committed team responsible for managing and improving the quality of heritage data for water and wastewater networks. As a GIS Technician, you will report to the Operations Director and be responsible for updating, exploiting, and leveraging geospatial data related to these networks. You will also contribute to processing and monitoring construction declaration requests (DICT).
In this role, you will actively support the integrity of heritage data and the operational performance of SAUR’s activities.
Your Missions
Enter new network infrastructure into the Geographic Information System (GIS);
Record connections and their characteristics;
Integrate detailed drawings and as-built plans;
Update network plans and heritage databases;
Create and maintain schematic diagrams;
Enter network operation data (leaks, cleaning, interventions, etc.);
Prepare thematic maps tailored to operator needs;
Generate cartographic outputs for operational activities;
Produce and print finalized plans;
Perform basic SIG tool maintenance;
Generate contractual reports related to network heritage.
Your Profile
Education / Qualifications:
Minimum Bac+2 (Associate’s degree) in geomatics or equivalent.
Experience:
At least 3 years of experience in a similar position.
Technical Skills:
Solid understanding of drafting and cartographic standards (scales, formats, georeferencing);
Proficiency in office tools and CAD software;
General knowledge of hydraulics and ability to read water supply and wastewater network plans;
Field surveying techniques (topography, triangulation, GPS, etc.).
Personal Attributes:
Strong project management and stakeholder coordination skills;
Rigorous, organized, and able to prioritize tasks effectively;
Comfortable managing technical documentation;
Analytical mindset with proven problem-solving abilities.
Additional Information
Valid Class B driver’s license required.
Location: Versailles (78).
Regular travel within the Yvelines department (78), 1–3 times per week.
Your Compensation & Benefits at SAUR
No probation period upon hiring.
Fixed salary: €26,400–€31,400 gross annually (paid over 13.3 months), depending on experience.
Fixed water-sector bonus: €400 gross/year.
Variable compensation:
- Activity-based allowances (on-call duty, travel, night work, etc.);
- Profit- and performance-sharing bonuses, based on company results.
Social Protection (Over 50% Company-Funded):
