Junior GIS/GEO Developer Trainee

Through The Trainee Company’s Business & IT Traineeship, you’ll launch your career as a junior IT professional—specifically within a GIS/GEO development environment. You don’t need to be an experienced developer or GIS specialist yet. We’re looking for motivated beginners who are technically curious, eager to learn, and ready to grow in a professional DevOps setting. What will you do? As a Junior GIS/GEO Developer, you’ll work on software and applications where geographic information is central. Your responsibilities will include: Developing and maintaining GIS applications; Programming and testing software; Working with geographic data; Working from user stories; Collaborating within an Agile/Scrum or DevOps team. You should have an affinity for software development and preferably foundational knowledge in one or more of the following technologies: Java; JavaScript / TypeScript; Spring Boot; PL/SQL / Oracle; GitLab; Kubernetes; GIS. You don’t need to master everything—a relevant degree, internship experience, or personal projects provide a solid foundation.
