Job Description: Geo (GIS) Data Analyst
Stichtse Vecht is looking to strengthen its Geo Data Analysis team for a period of 4 months (with possibility of extension), starting shortly.
Candidate Profile
General Requirements
HBO/WO level of working and thinking, preferably in Geo-informatics, GIS, Geodesy, or a related field.
Minimum of 3 years of demonstrable experience with GIS/geo-data in a municipal environment.
Municipal Context
Experience managing, analyzing, validating, and disseminating geographic data and metadata—including GIS analyses for policy and implementation, and data quality control.
In-depth knowledge and experience with BAG (Basisregistratie Adressen en Gebouwen) and BGT (Basisregistratie Grootschalige Topografie), including data quality, interconnectivity, and municipal geo-processes.
Demonstrated knowledge and experience with the Digitaal Stelsel Omgevingswet (DSO) and its relationship to geo-information, environmental documents, and the Omgevingsplan (Environmental Plan).
Experience with geo-information in the context of public space, and familiarity with municipal management systems and asset data.
Experience processing, managing, and securing metadata for GIS data to ensure data quality and discoverability.
Technical (GEO) Skills
Knowledge and experience with FME, spatial databases, and GIS software.
Experience with PostGIS, QGIS, and GeoServer is a plus.
Knowledge and experience managing webGIS platforms.
Experience with Kaartviewer Suite is a plus.
Role in the Municipality
Independent, analytical, and precise, with the ability to quickly operate within existing municipal processes and systems.
Strong communication skills and the ability to coordinate between geo-specialists, system administrators, policy officers, and IT staff.
Practical Information
Contract Type: Detachering (temporary assignment through an agency)
Duration: 4 months, extendable depending on need (possible extension from January)
Start Date: In consultation
