GIS Operator

Location Almere Education Level MBO/HBO Business Unit Elektra As a GIS Operator, you will be responsible for managing, analyzing, and visualizing spatial data to provide insights that support our projects and decision-making processes. You will join the Business Unit Infra Zuid, based in Almere. This team is involved in the NuMeren program, a large-scale initiative by network operator Liander to strengthen the electricity grid in the regions of Veluwe, 't Gooi, and Flevoland. We are looking for a great team player who shares the team’s passion for technology. Your responsibilities include: Managing and maintaining geographic databases and GIS applications; Conducting modeling to solve complex problems; Creating maps, dashboards, and reports to visualize and communicate data; Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to develop and implement GIS solutions; Supporting users with GIS software and providing technical assistance where needed; Exploring new GIS technologies and methodologies to improve processes and foster innovation. What we require: MBO/HBO diploma in Geographic Information Systems, Geography, Spatial Sciences, or a related field; Demonstrable experience with GIS software such as ArcGIS (Online/Pro), QGIS, AutoCAD, and/or other relevant tools; Knowledge of spatial analysis methods and data management practices; Experience in map production for various projects; Experience with (drone) data processing and management; Basic knowledge of or interest in FME and AutoCAD; Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment; Self-motivated and capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
