The public domain is vital to our quality of life and contains valuable information about its current condition. By accurately measuring data, processing geo-information, and integrating it with management data, the maintenance and management of public spaces become transparent. The demand for effective use of available data has never been greater! During this traineeship, you will actively engage in measuring, processing, and advising on such data.
During the GIS & Geo-Information Traineeship, you will:
Structure, analyze, evaluate, and visually present data using apps, charts, or maps
Collect data at project locations in collaboration with experienced surveyors
Set up GIS files to support data acquisition
Integrate data to create usable products
Create maps, charts, and dashboards
Produce technical drawings using ArcGIS, QGIS, and AutoCAD
Analyze data in GIS and incorporate findings into specifications and (maintenance) advisory reports
Offer
Salary: €2,800 to €3,200 gross per month

Requirements
Completed HBO (higher professional education) degree in fields such as:
- Land and Water Management
- Garden and Landscape Design
- Green and Cultural Technology / Forest and Nature Management
- Management of the Living Environment
- Applied GIS Sciences / Applied Geo-Science
- Geo Media & Design
- Water Management
- Civil Engineering
- or a comparable program
Experience with and interest in GIS systems such as ArcGIS and QGIS
Interest in programming tools like Python and R
Intrinsic motivation to work with data
Prior experience, knowledge, or interest in AutoCAD is a strong plus
Preferably residing in Utrecht or Gelderland
