GIS Operator

Job Description Do you want to use your GIS expertise to make a tangible impact on soil and environmental projects? In this role, you’ll have the space to turn spatial data into clear insights, enabling colleagues and project teams to better steer, plan, and decide. As a GIS Operator, you will manage, analyze, and visualize geographic data for a variety of energy and environmental initiatives. Based in Heesch—and occasionally at other locations across the country—you’ll maintain oversight, ensure data quality, and ensure GIS solutions align with organizational needs. Key Responsibilities: Manage and maintain GIS databases and applications. Conduct analyses and modeling for spatial challenges. Create maps, dashboards, and reports. Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders on GIS solutions. Identify improvement opportunities and new GIS applications. Requirements You are detail-oriented, quick to spot connections, and energized by improving data and processes. With 1–3 years of GIS experience, you’re ready to grow in content expertise, responsibility, and collaboration. We’re looking for someone who doesn’t just use digital maps and data sources, but can translate them into clear, reliable outputs. You communicate clearly, collaborate proactively, and consistently prioritize quality and precision. Required Qualifications: MBO+ or HBO level of working and thinking, preferably in GIS, Geography, or a technical field. Experience with GIS software and spatial data. Experience managing, analyzing, and visualizing geographic information. Accuracy and strong prioritization skills. Comfort working in a collaborative environment where quality and teamwork are central.
