About the Role
GIS Program Advisor
Do you want to help organizations unlock the full potential of geographic data and ArcGIS? In this role, you’ll work at the intersection of business, technology, and people. You’ll support clients in their digital development, build lasting relationships, and deliver tangible results.
As a GIS Program Advisor, you’ll collaborate closely with clients on their GIS development journey. You’ll translate strategic objectives into concrete annual plans and programs—and ensure these are executed into measurable outcomes. In this role, you’ll fluidly navigate between diverse stakeholders, connecting business challenges with technological solutions.
Success lies not only in technology, but equally in people and collaboration. This manifests in the following ways:
You actively listen and ask the right questions to clearly understand client needs;
You adapt to your client’s organizational context and maturity level;
You help both GIS and non-GIS users build confidence and skills;
You drive adoption by visibly celebrating successes;
You bridge the gap between business and IT by clearly articulating GIS value;
You collaborate effectively with both technical specialists and business stakeholders across diverse organizations.
What You’ll Do
In this role, you will:
Act as a strategic advisor and guide clients in the deployment and evolution of GIS;
Serve as a sounding board on innovation topics and emerging developments;
Support the development and execution of strategies, roadmaps, and annual plans;
Identify opportunities and barriers in technology adoption—and respond proactively;

An HBO or WO diploma and at least 5 years of relevant work experience, enabling you to independently tackle complex challenges;
In-depth knowledge of GIS and IT architecture, essential for providing sound, content-level advice to clients;
Strong analytical skills and insight into business processes, allowing you to translate strategic goals into concrete actions;
Experience with program and project management, to deliver initiatives in a structured and successful manner;
