About the Assignment
As a Technical GIS System Administrator, you will hold coordinated operational and coordination responsibility for a geospatial data platform built on ArcGIS, with integrations to systems such as FME and CAD-based tools. You will work closely with the business, IT department, and external system vendors to ensure the platform remains stable, secure, and delivers tangible value to the organization.
This is a full-time, long-term consulting assignment spanning through 2027, with potential for extension. Placement options include Gothenburg, Stockholm, or Lund—candidates from all three locations are welcome.
Key Responsibilities
You will manage both ongoing platform administration and its continued development:
Own system operations, and plan maintenance and upgrades.
Coordinate efforts between business units, IT, and system vendors.
Manage, report on, and follow up support and system requests.
Support end users through training and troubleshooting.
Prioritize and implement system changes based on business needs.
Configure systems, develop maps, and manage content.
Help ensure quality, update, and evolve data and information within the platform.
Work on integrations and data flows between ArcGIS and other systems, especially using FME.
Contribute to or lead smaller change initiatives within your area of responsibility.
The role blends technical system administration with business-facing work and continuous information management.

We are looking for someone with a solid technical foundation and extensive experience with ArcGIS, along with an understanding of how geospatial data supports daily business operations. You should have strong IT skills and be able to quickly grasp system architecture, integrations, and data flows.
Preferred qualifications include:
Proven experience with ArcGIS.
Experience with FME and ETL workflows.
Understanding of system architecture, integrations, and data flows.
Experience in system administration, troubleshooting, and requirements gathering.

Meritorious:

Personal Qualities
To thrive in this role, we believe you are:
Technically confident, curious, and solution-oriented.
Able to understand and translate user needs into concrete system and data improvements.
Communicative, pedagogical, and comfortable supporting users, collaborating with IT, and engaging with external vendors.
Structured in your approach, proactive in driving issues forward, and mindful of the bigger picture and the business value the technology delivers.
